Business Need / Purpose of Role
Weir Minerals Canada requires a Pressure Welder to safely weld parts together as per blueprints, weld maps and drawings provided.
Responsible to provide a quality welds that will confirm to customer's specifications and within hours allocated.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
Education / Experience :
Completion of High School. Journeyman or Red Seal Welder with Level B Certification with Log Book.2 years of new and repair welding experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills :
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft windows and office products
