The Savoury Foods technologist is responsible for application support on projects for Savoury Foods Customers in UK and Europe.
In this exciting role, you will work closely together with your sales counterpart on briefings from customers, and you will be part of the application team located in Haverhill, and share knowledge and learning’s with other teams across Europe.
Major responsibilities include :
Technical partner for local and regional customers, working closely together with other disciplines
Create and promote product concepts including proactive presentations
Performing internal and external presentations
Visiting customers : presenting samples and giving presentations.
Maintaining excellent awareness of the Savory Foods market and market products.
Playing a proactive role in new initiatives. Knowledge exchange with other Creative centres and SatellitesGuidance of Juniors or TraineesEvaluation of Flavours in End products to build Collections and Knowledge of PortfolioWorks on Flavour selectionCreates prototypesDeliver the highest possible quality of application work to customer.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Required Skills :
Minimum BS degree in Food science or related field to Food Technology
Knowledge in food safety and food regulations preferred.
Effective team player with excellent communication skills
Be able to pass an IFF internal sensory and discriminative organoleptic skills test
Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in industrial food, ingredient of flavor industry, with a minimum of 5 years working in the area of savory and seasoning application and product development.
Experience managing technical staff is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety, raw materials, food regulations and production processes preferred.
